Located in the district of Rio Pardinho, approximately 25 minutes by car from downtown Santa Cruz do Sul, Travessão Dona Josefa Lane began to be populated around 1857. In this area, there is a historical buildind dating from 1931, which for a while was home of Ivo Ervino Gressler Primary School. Although the educational activities ceased in 1999, this historical building still stands as a symbol of the past.

In addition, a stylized stage, that served as the scenario for a feature film shot in 2023, remained there at the request of the local community. The structure was preserved by the population until it was torn down by the heavy rains that hit the entire state of Rio Grande do Sul in May 2024. There is also an Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession of Brazil, Travessão Dona Josefa Church.

In 2007, in celebration of the sesquicentenary of the colonization of the region by German immigrants, a tribute was added next to the stone monument.
