Located at 755 Galvão Costa Street, in downtown Santa Cruz do Sul, Oktoberfest Park is known for annually hosting one of the biggest Germanic festivals in southern Brazil, the Oktoberfest. In addition, the place is home to other events such as Festa das Cucas and Enart (a festival that celebrates the Art and Traditions of Gaúchos).

The Oktoberfest park offers a variety of facilites, ranging from soccer fields to athletic, skate and BMX tracks, as well as basketball courts and two small lakes.

Looking further into the facilities located inside the park, there is also the Mayor Arno Frantz Multi-Sport Gymnasium, also known as Arnão, with a capacity for approximately 5,700 people. In 2023, the gymnasium hosted the qualifiers for the Men’s Basketball World Cup (Brazil vs. Puerto Rico and Brazil vs. United States), concerts and other cultural events. Next to the gymnasium is the Athletes’ Memorial, a place dedicated to honoring the city’s athletes.

In January 1964, the construction work at the Central Pavilion and at the Entrance Porch was completed, and they have been in use ever since. Additionally, a typical German restaurant called Bierhaus, which was opened in October of 1972, is still in operation. Opened in 2023, the Events Center is a structure with a capacity for 4,000 people and can host up to two events simultaneously. The two existing pavilions have multipurpose features and are able to host large-scale events suchs as congresses, exhibitions, concerts, confereces and fairs. The project was developed taking into account socio-environmental perspectives, applying concepts of accessibility, natural lighting andventilation.
