Offering more than 50 undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the exact, human and social sciences, as well as a wide range of technical courses, extension projects and research centers, the main campus of UNISC is located at 2293 Independência Avenue, in the University District, just a 7-minute drive from downtown. The construction of the campus began in 1982 and the process of creating the University was successfully concluded in 1993.

UNISC has a modern infrastructure and offers many activities and opportunities for research, culture and leisure. Inside the campus, there is also a private educational institution called Educar-se, which covers everything from early childhood education to high school. Among the available facilities are gymnasiums and sports courts, a swimming pool, computer labs and a library with a collection of over 127,000 titles. In addition, UNISC offers community services such as physiotherapy, odontology, legal assistance, among others.
